8 Strangest Celebrity Businesses

Most celebrities, like the Kardashian sisters, can slap their name on any product and make a fortune. While fashion and beauty goods make sense for the stylish sisters, other celebrities have invested in some odd products to make extra cash. Check out these eight oddball celebrity businesses - as weird as they may seem, some of them still made a ton of money from it.

Others, like Hulk Hogan pasta, not so much.

Justin Bieber – Nail Polish

Remember when Justin Bieber released a line of nail polish? Yeah, we don’t really either.

He launched the One Less Lonely Girl collection through Nicole by OPI in 2010, with fantastic corny names like “One Less Lonely Glitter” and “I’m a Belieber.” It seems all his tween girl fans had major “Bieber Fever” (also a polish name) since the collection sold one million bottles. Who knew a teen boy with great hair could know so much about nail polish?

Gene Simmons – KISS Kasket

For $3000, you can get buried with the members of KISS… on your casket. The “KISS Kasket” featured two different designs for the ultimate hard rock funeral. “I love livin',” the KISS bassist said. “But this makes the alternative look pretty damn good.”

50 Cent – 50 Formula VitaminWater

Back when we all thought VitaminWater was actually healthy, 50 Cent came out with his own flavor, Formula 50, based on grape “quarter-water” from his neighborhood bodegas. With his blatant promotion on MTV's "CRIBS" (because who actually has a fridge full of VitaminWater?

), 50 Formula became one of their best-selling flavors and the franchise was bought out for $1.2 billion. "I took quarter-water, sold it in bottles for two bucks," he told the Washington Post. "Coca-Cola came and bought it for billions. What the—?"

Nelly – Pimpjuice

No, we’re not talking about his song. Nelly tried to follow 50 Cent’s success with enhanced drinks but fell short due to the negative stigma behind the energy drink’s name.

Hulk Hogan – Pastamania

It seems the “Pastamaniacs” weren’t too crazy for his Hulk-a-Roo’s since the pasta joint closed in less than a year of opening. Still, watching Hulk Hogan pumped up about pasta is pretty hilarious:

Donald Trump – Trump Ice Water

From steaks to cologne, it seems this hotel mogul will try anything for a profit.  One of his weirdest ventures was Trump Ice, “one of the purest natural spring waters bottled in the world,” according to his website. It claims you can find his spray-tanned face on the “luxury” bottles in his hotel minibars and select grocery chains.

Marilyn Manson – Mansinthe Absinthe

The goth rocker created his own version of the once illegal, highly hallucinogenic liquor - not too surpising. However, what is shocking is that it’s highly acclaimed, winning gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. “Mansinthe isn’t comparable to other celebrity products such as canned Prosecco,” the website jests. Or Trump Ice for that matter.
