London-born hip-hop electro artist M.I.A. has been sporting her street inspired, vibrant style since her musical break in 2002. Mixing bold prints and exotic colors and often Indian-inspired looks, M.I.A.’s iconic style is the definition of fresh and edgy. The singer is unafraid to rock a blue bob with green lips, making her the perfect candidate to start her own clothing line with Versus Versace.

The line takes older Versace trademarks and spins them with a unique only M.I.A. could create.

2. Santigold

Santi White, better known by her stage name Santigold, is an American singer and music producer whose fashion, while still eccentric, incorporates more wearable pieces off-stage for the everyday woman. The performer loves to mix textures and patterns evidenced by her stage costumes, displaying everything from plaid and yarn to leather and denim. “I love colors and patterns and textures,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I also really like to be comfortable.”

3. Yelle

French electro-pop band Yelle, named after front woman, Julie Budet, who also goes by the name “Yelle” rose to international stardom in 2005 after their hit single “Je veux te vior.” Yelle’s signature style is like something out of a coloring book, bursting with intense pigments and paired with unusual color blocks, coming together to form the singer’s iconic look.

4. Robyn

Swedish singer Robyn’s style, while always cutting edge, is very tailored to fit her shape.

Playing up classic colors like black and white, Robyn told Refinery29 that it’s all about taking the classics like Dr. Martins and bomber jackets, and making them your own. “Also, for me, it’s not about a designer or a style, it’s about the fit. Does it actually fit your body?” she told Refinery29. When I figured out what looks good on my body structure-wise, a lot of things fell into place for me.”

5. Bjork
