Shockingly Sheer Red Carpet Outfits

Kendall and Kylie Jenner hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 15th, but you might not have known it considering that it was Kendall Jenner's dress that recieved most of the spot light. The eighteen-year-old wore a double-slit number that traveled above and beyond her hip bones and has the fashion (and social media) world still buzzing.

But she's just the newest addition to a long line of barely-clad women of the red carpet.

Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart wore nearly identical sheer cut-out dresses that experimented with showing off lots of different pieces of the human body at the premiere of their film, "Show White and the Huntsman."

Beating Kendall Jenner to the punch, Jaimie Alexander's hip bones (and more) made a sheer appearance at last year's premiere of Thor 2.

Lady Gaga

The always eccentric Lady Gaga took things to another dimension on her Fame Ball tour, wearing nothing more than strategically-placed bubbles and an invisible body suit.

Nicki Minaj

In 2010, Nicki Minaj showed everyone that she was thankful for the opposite of hip bones at a Hot 97 Thanksgiving Day Concert.

Let us not be quick to forget the nearly invisible dress Rihanna wore to this years Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, where she took home the big prize of the night.

It’s crazy to think that Bjork’s swan dress from the 2001 Academy Awards would probably be considered conservative by today’s fashion standards.
