The L’Wren Scott Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 Show, titled « Tuxedo Terrace », was very inspired by J. M. W. Turner’s paintings of the Loire Valley (in 2011, the late American designer told « British Vogue » that Joseph Mallord William Turner’s works were great for color research for her textiles).
Other J. M. W. Turner-influenced collections : Aquascutum Autumn/Winter 2010-2011 (this show and its corresponding ad campaign drew inspiration from J. M. W. Turner’s stormy landscapes), Mulberry by Emma Hill Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 (this show referenced the delicate and gloomy colors of Joseph Mallord William Turner’s landscape paintings).
